The Rise of Employee Self-Service Data, and I.T.'s New Role

No longer should IT strictly control access to internal and external datasets. The costs of doing so are simply too large. Rather, progressive organizations are granting everyday (read: non-technical) employees access to enterprise and external data without extensive IT involvement.
